Long Term Care Ombudsman

Those living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities are many times in need of someone to advocate for them. Residents need support and protection now more than ever. Long-term care Ombudsmen do just this. As an Area Agency on Aging, South-Central Colorado Seniors (SCCS) oversees the Ombudsmen Program, however this program falls under the Colorado State Ombudsman and is state regulated. The Ombudsmen Program is here to make sure the rights of residents living in these facilities are respected and met with quality care. They are trained to resolve problems and can assist you with complaints.
